Junior Project Engineer

Position Summary:

The Jr. Project Engineer will provide support for projects in various stages of design, estimating and construction as well as assistance to various aspects of field and office activities.

Primary/Essential

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide documentation quality control on construction projects.
• Provides basic contract administration support at construction field office.
• Assist in the coordination of construction contracts.
• Prepares construction contract correspondence for supervisor review.
• Assist with coordination of the bidding process and correspondence flow for change orders and modification.
• Prepares construction contract correspondence for supervisor review.
• Assist in preparation of bid packages.
• Assist Project Managers with the preparation and maintenance of construction schedules.
• Prepares and maintains documentation of work performed in accordance record keeping procedures.
• Prepare and maintain documentation and document control associated with a project in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of additional work orders.
• Assist with requirements for project close out.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 0-3 years' experience in construction.
• Ability to prepare change orders, filing and knowledge in establishing and maintaining project records.
• Ability to use applicable software and record keeping methods.
• Must have excellent PC skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Works in an office environment.
• Frequently sits for long periods of time.
• Frequently speaks, reads, writes, and uses a computer keyboard.
• May require occasional standing, walking, lifting, stooping, or bending.
