A leading commercial specialty contractor serving the Greater Philadelphia market is looking to add an experienced Estimator / Project Manager to its growing team.
This role is ideal for someone with experience estimating and managing commercial interior construction projects, particularly within highly regulated pharmaceutical and life sciences environments. The successful candidate will oversee projects from bid through closeout while working closely with clients, field leadership, subcontractors, and vendors.
Responsibilities- Review construction drawings and specifications.
- Perform quantity takeoffs for metal framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, specialty ceilings, doors, frames, hardware, and interior finish systems.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals.
- Participate in value engineering and scope reviews.
- Assist with project buyout and procurement.
- Manage multiple commercial interior projects simultaneously from award through closeout.
- Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives.
- Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, labor productivity, and material procurement.
- Conduct project meetings and maintain strong client communication.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
We're looking for candidates with experience in one or more of the following:
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities
- Clean rooms
- Corporate interiors
- Laboratory fit-outs
- Mission-critical renovations
Experience with the following scopes is highly preferred:
- Drywall systems
- Acoustical ceilings
- Specialty ceiling systems
- 5+ years of estimating and/or project management experience with a commercial drywall, carpentry, or interiors subcontractor.
- Strong knowledge of commercial interior construction means and methods.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Experience preparing quantity takeoffs and pricing interior finish scopes.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience using Bluebeam, OST, Quick Bid, Procore, Microsoft Office, or similar construction software.
