Role DescriptionThe Project Manager – Multifamily Construction is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Philadelphia, responsible for overseeing all phases of multifamily construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role manages project planning, scheduling, and budgeting, coordinates with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, and ensures compliance with building codes, inspections, and quality standards. The Project Manager monitors daily site activities, resolves issues impacting timelines or costs, and maintains clear communication with clients and internal stakeholders on progress, risks, and changes.
Additional responsibilities include overseeing procurement and expediting of materials, managing logistics and deliveries, maintaining project documentation, and promoting a safe, productive jobsite environment.
- Strong project management skills, including experience leading multifamily construction projects from start to finish.
- Experience with expediting and expeditor services, including coordinating permits, approvals, and documentation with local authorities.
- Knowledge of inspection processes and requirements, with the ability to schedule, prepare for, and respond to building and safety inspections.
- Logistics management skills, including planning deliveries, managing material flow, and coordinating trade partners on an active jobsite.
- Proficiency in construction project management software and MS Office; ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, track costs, and support value engineering while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in multifamily or commercial construction; bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in the Greater Philadelphia area; OSHA awareness and commitment to safe work practices.
