Summer Intern - Engineering Technician

This is an intern position without benefits. The Fayette County Water System is seeking a detail‑oriented and enthusiastic Intern for the summer. This position is ideal for individuals interested in gaining hands‑on experience in reading and understanding engineering drawings, organizational processes, and general recordkeeping.

• Drawings:
  Identify and organize construction, development, and utility relocation drawings as directed to support GIS implementation.
• Organizational Processes:
  Assist with implementation of filing procedures and bring existing data up to current standards.
• Recordkeeping:
  Perform audits of project files for missing or improperly named files, ensuring remaining files meet current standards regarding file naming.
• Additional Duties:
  Perform other tasks as assigned.

• Basic computer skills (entry‑level Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and File Explorer).
