Shady Side Academy's Junior School (PK-5th Grade in Point Breeze), is seeking substitute teachers. A candidate may choose to substitute teach at one Shady Side campus or multiple campuses. Please indicate which campus(s) you would like to substitute teach during your interview. If a candidate is a parent of a current Shady Side student, they will not be permitted to substitute teach in their child's class.
Responsibilities will include:
* Leading the class in the teacher's absence
* May be required to fulfill other duties as assigned, such as carpool or lunch duty
* Using the Frontline absence management system to receive notifications for open positions
* Clear and timely communication with SSA personnel
* Being an integral part of a caring community of learners
* Treating all children and adults at SSA with respect and kindness
* Communicating with teachers or administrators any relevant information they need to know about the school day
