Internship

Prerequisites:

* Internship candidates must have successfully completed their freshman year of university/college studies and are returning to school for their sophomore year to qualify for this internship.

* Possess and provide self-transportation to/from Gateway office and required local project sites.

* Demonstrate the desire to grow personally and professionally.

Gateway Internships

Internships at Gateway are designed to provide the intern with practical industry training and real-project exposure through experiential learning. Freshman level Interns spend their time primarily in developmental training sessions, and supplement training with participation on real project teams to gain a contextual understanding of Gateways practice areas and how they are integrated to develop and deliver solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities

Developmental Training:

* Environmental Health & Safety training with tiered certification

* Design Technology training

* Site Design training

* Plan/Spec Overview

* Client project site visits

The ideal intern candidate will have the following qualifications:

* Demonstrable strong and confident communication skills

* A commitment to lifelong learning and improvement

* Be coachable

* Exhibit organization skills

* The ability to efficiently manage his/her time

* Critical thinking

* Experience with Microsoft Office applications
