• Collaborate with general education classroom teachers in an inclusion model to support student learning and achievement.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students in grades 7 and 8.
• Provide targeted instruction, accommodations, and modifications aligned with student goals.
• Use data-driven practices to track student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment that supports diverse needs.
• Communicate regularly with families, service providers, and school staff regarding student progress and services.
• Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal special education regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support school-wide initiatives.

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (state-appropriate).
• Strong understanding of inclusion and co-teaching models at the middle school level.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, and families.
• Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive teaching.

• Experience teaching special education in grades 7–8.
• Prior experience in a public or charter school setting.
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs within a collaborative team environment.
