Substitute Instructional Support Staff Positions

The Mt. Lebanon School District is seeking applicants for substitute instructional support staff positions as personal care assistants and special education classroom aides. These paraprofessional positions engage directly with students and staff. They perform instructional support tasks like supervision, tutoring, and coaching. They also perform behavioral support tasks like communicating positive expectations, prompting/signaling, and redirecting. Additionally, they perform clerical support tasks like preparing materials and recording progress and observations.

Substitutes may serve in per diem, short and long-term assignments to replace a permanent employee who is absent. Full or half-day assignments are available with the ability to schedule in advance using our web-based absence management software.  rates: full day $116.83, half day $58.42. Additional employment requirements:
In order to be eligible for employment, the following clearances must be furnished and approved for hire at time of job offer:
Pennsylvania child abuse history clearance (Act 151), Pennsylvania state police criminal record check (Act 34), FBI federal criminal history record (Act 114). The following additional trainings and forms are required upon hire:
Act 126 child/student abuse recognition and reporting arrest or conviction form (PDE 6004) (Act 24), school personnel health record (physical with TB test), sexual misconduct/abuse disclosure information (Act 168). Mt. Lebanon School District is an equal opportunity employer.
