Middle School Spanish Teacher - Part-Time

Part-Time 40% Spanish Teacher

The Mt. Lebanon School District is seeking applicants for a part-time 40% Spanish teacher beginning with the  school year at Mellon Middle School. This is a part-time, on-site, contract (permanent) position, effective with the start of the  school year on August 7, 2026. This is a morning assignment through 2nd period, Monday through Friday. To be eligible to apply, the candidate must hold an active instructional certificate from the Pennsylvania Department of Education in Spanish PK-12.

Applicants with pending certifications through the PA Department of Education may be considered with a college/university placeholder letter stating completion of a PDE approved teacher preparation program and evidence of passing scores on certification examinations. The salary and benefits for this position will be prorated based on the 40% status. Salary range: $23,200 - $27,600. Additionally, entry onto the salary schedule is capped at Step 4 for individuals with prior K-12 teaching experience.

In order to be eligible for employment, the following clearances must be furnished and approved for hire at the time of job offer:
Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151), Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check (Act 34), FBI Federal Criminal History Record (Act 114). The following additional trainings and forms are required upon hire:
