Permanent Substitute School Counselor
The Mt. Lebanon School District is seeking applicants for the position of Permanent Substitute School Counselor anon High School for the First Semester of the School Year. This is a full-time, on-site, single semester, temporary (substitute) assignment from August 12, 2026 through January 14, 2026, a 99 day assignment. In order to be eligible to apply, the candidate must hold an active Specialist Certificate from the Pennsylvania Department in School Counseling that is inclusive of grades 9-12.
Applicants with pending certifications through the PA Department of Education may be considered with college/university placeholder letter stating completion of a PDE approved school counselor preparation program and evidence of passing scores on certification examinations. This position will be eligible for degree level daily rate for step 1 of the teachers salary schedule, with rates starting at $297 per day depending upon credential.
The position is also eligible for paid time off in the form of sick and personal days and individual health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
