Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Trainer to join our team on a full-time, direct basis at our Training Center in Mechanicsburg, PA. This role is pivotal in promoting workplace safety while ensuring environmental regulatory compliance by designing, implementing, and delivering comprehensive training programs.
Primary Responsibilities- Develop Training Materials:
Design and develop training materials (presentations, manuals, experiential modules) covering various EHS topics and ensuring alignment with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices. - Customize Training Programs:
Collaborate with internal leadership and EHS professionals to identify training needs and develop tailored solutions. Partner with clients to create customized training programs. - Conduct Training Sessions:
Lead sessions for internal and external participants on topics such as Lead, Asbestos, OSHA, HAZWOPER, etc., using diverse training methods and technologies. - Evaluate Training Effectiveness:
Assess program effectiveness through feedback, knowledge assessments, and performance evaluations, continuously updating materials and methods. - Stay Current with Regulations:
Monitor relevant EHS regulations, standards, and industry trends; update training content and practices accordingly. - Promote Safety Culture:
Serve as a role model for safety behavior and promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization. - Travel to client sites as needed.
- High School Diploma.
- 3+ years of professional experience in Professional Training, Teaching, and/or EHS-related tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal & written).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Management, Environmental Science, EHS, Natural Science, Engineering, or Education).
- Relevant certification(s).
- Proven experience developing and delivering EHS training programs in corporate and/or industrial settings; consulting experience is a plus.
- Experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and preparing instructional materials for in-person and virtual training.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, and other relevant standards.
- Proficiency in e-learning platforms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), multimedia tools, and/or virtual training technologies.
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, especially with diverse audiences.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
