EHS Trainer

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Trainer to join our team on a full-time, direct basis at our Training Center in Mechanicsburg, PA. This role is pivotal in promoting workplace safety while ensuring environmental regulatory compliance by designing, implementing, and delivering comprehensive training programs.

• Develop Training Materials:
  Design and develop training materials (presentations, manuals, experiential modules) covering various EHS topics and ensuring alignment with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Customize Training Programs:
  Collaborate with internal leadership and EHS professionals to identify training needs and develop tailored solutions. Partner with clients to create customized training programs.
• Conduct Training Sessions:
  Lead sessions for internal and external participants on topics such as Lead, Asbestos, OSHA, HAZWOPER, etc., using diverse training methods and technologies.
• Evaluate Training Effectiveness:
  Assess program effectiveness through feedback, knowledge assessments, and performance evaluations, continuously updating materials and methods.
• Stay Current with Regulations:
  Monitor relevant EHS regulations, standards, and industry trends; update training content and practices accordingly.
• Promote Safety Culture:
  Serve as a role model for safety behavior and promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization.
• Travel to client sites as needed.

• High School Diploma.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Professional Training, Teaching, and/or EHS-related tasks.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication skills (verbal & written).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

• Bachelor's degree (preferably in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Management, Environmental Science, EHS, Natural Science, Engineering, or Education).
• Relevant certification(s).
• Proven experience developing and delivering EHS training programs in corporate and/or industrial settings; consulting experience is a plus.
• Experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and preparing instructional materials for in-person and virtual training.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, and other relevant standards.
• Proficiency in e-learning platforms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), multimedia tools, and/or virtual training technologies.
• Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, especially with diverse audiences.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
