Position Overview

Position Title:

Adjunct instructor – Pathway to Success (Course: Seminar in Learning Strategies). Time Type:
Part time. Saint Joseph’s University relies on adjunct instructors to complement full‑time faculty. Adjuncts are appointed on a semester‑to‑semester basis; re‑appointment is based on need, enrollment and performance.

• Provide support and guidance to students enrolled in the Pathway to Success program.
• Instruct the assigned course, including creating syllabi and other instructional materials.
• Use the university learning management system to deliver instruction.
• Support first‑year students in developing the skills, strategies, and awareness needed for academic success.

• Required experience in student‑success programs.

• May require standing for long periods of time.
• May require talking for long periods of time.
• May require carrying course materials.

In‑person only (on‑campus).

Adjunct compensation is commensurate with education and relevant work experience. No guarantee of consecutive appointments.

Saint Joseph’s University may only consider applicants from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York (excluding New York City zip codes), and Delaware (Delaware residents must be present on an SJU campus for over 50% of work time). If relocation is required, financial assistance is not guaranteed.
