Position Overview
Position Title:
Adjunct instructor – Pathway to Success (Course: Seminar in Learning Strategies). Time Type:
Part time. Saint Joseph’s University relies on adjunct instructors to complement full‑time faculty. Adjuncts are appointed on a semester‑to‑semester basis; re‑appointment is based on need, enrollment and performance.
- Provide support and guidance to students enrolled in the Pathway to Success program.
- Instruct the assigned course, including creating syllabi and other instructional materials.
- Use the university learning management system to deliver instruction.
- Support first‑year students in developing the skills, strategies, and awareness needed for academic success.
- Required experience in student‑success programs.
- May require standing for long periods of time.
- May require talking for long periods of time.
- May require carrying course materials.
In‑person only (on‑campus).
Pay TransparencyAdjunct compensation is commensurate with education and relevant work experience. No guarantee of consecutive appointments.
