Aspire Educational Services is seeking Instructional Assistants committed to creating a nurturing space where children with diverse abilities can flourish. The Instructional Assistant will support teachers and therapists in providing instruction and will assist students with a variety of needs, including academic support and behavioral support for aggressive or self‑injurious behavior.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support across all educational settings; escort and supervise students to various locations.
  • Assist with classroom management, such as organizing instructional materials.
  • Assist students with the use of equipment, including communication devices if applicable.
  • Assist students with positioning, transferring, and ambulation.
  • Assist with activities of daily living (feeding, grooming, bathing, diapering, and toileting) if applicable.
  • Accompany students on the bus or other vehicle.
  • Observe, monitor, and redirect behavior as needed.
  • Cue students to remain on task and complete activities assigned by the teacher or therapist.
  • Follow Individual Education Plans and assist with data collection on student performance.
  • Support parental involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma;
    Associate or Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • Passion for working with children with disabilities (may involve toileting).
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to pass school background requirements such as child abuse clearances, FBI fingerprints, etc.
