Work Hours: Standard College hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm;

General

Summary:

This position is responsible for project management,annual and quarterly reporting, evaluation, and supervision of major tasks.

Direct the Title III Program in compliance with U.S. Department of Education Title III regulations. Responsible for developing and implementing all programcomponents. Work with Title III staff on implementation and provide guidance on achieving the measurable objectives. Supports the Academic Dean of Humanities,Mathematics and Social Sciences as well as the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Services and Student Affairs in the successful deployment of strategic initiatives, including the design, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of programs and services of the disciplines.

Within the division:
Provides oversight for day-to-day support for division faculty. Supervises and conducts all needed evaluations.

Provides support for developmental education. Oversee the REACH Mathematics Facilitator, Reading/Writing Facilitator, and REACH Steering Committee. Memberof the following:
Chair, REACH Steering Committee, and REACH Evaluation Team.

Grant

Summary:

Retain, Educate, Assess, Care, and Help(REACH) Grant is a student intervention model for retention and successspecifically designed to support the success of all new students. Information about REACH will be made available through the CCAC website, which complies with accessibility standards, brochures, presentations, and publications.

Successful implementation of REACH will provide: (1) students with thenecessary skills in reading, writing, and mathematics to successfully complete

Gateway courses; (2) professional development to enhance student support inwriting and mathematics and for academic advisors; and (3) staffing to organizeorientation and campus engagement as well as help students identify resources in order to meet academic and career-related goals

Requirements:

Master’s degree in humanities, mathematics, and/or social sciences or related field required. Five years successful supervision, fiscal and project management experience. Experience with working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Experience with college-level developmental education. Previous higher education experience advising or teaching students preferred.

Knowledge of:

  • Strong knowledge of grant development and administration.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Work well independently, with minimal direct supervision, and represent CCAC with the utmost professionalism.
  • Good written and verbal communication, organizational skills;
  • Work with students, faculty, staff, administration and outside agencies,
  • Self-motivation.
  • Accountable.
  • Track data and outcomes and present information in compliance with Federal requirements.
  • Travel is expected.

Duties:

  • Establish and oversee a Title III Steering Committee to guide project implementation.
  • Create bi-monthly sharing reports identifying integration of REACH grant initiatives into the institution and communicate project implementation to entire College community.
  • Participate in committees to embed program components throughout CCAC
  • Responsible for the oversight and management of project funds to ensure all expenditures are based on the proposed project and support the outcomes that were proposed and approved by the funding agency.
  • Provide direct supervision of the full-time and part-time REACH staff.
  • Work with project partners in collaboration with the staff to ensure programmatic and fiscal contractual obligations support the overall mission of the project.
  • Manage and monitor overall progress of the project, including project financial information and implementation timelines for project activities.
  • Coordinate the reporting process and prepare cumulative performance and assist with financial reports for submission to the funding agency in collaboration with the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research.
  • Create, review and approve contract documents with existing partners and stakeholder organizations as necessary in collaboration with CCAC Administration officials.
  • Maintain accurate and accessible project repository for the organization of all project documentation relating to fiscal and contractual responsibilities in collaboration with the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research.
