The Mt. Lebanon School District is seeking applicants for the position of
Personal Care Assistant at Mt. Lebanon High School beginning with the school year.
This is a full-time, on-site, permanent position.
ScheduleMonday-Friday 7:45 AM - 3:15 PM
190 days during the regular school year (summers, weekends and holidays off).
RatesStarting wages are either $16.69
per hour (approx. $22,197 annual
) or $16.79
per hour (approx. $22,330 annual
), for new hires to the District, depending upon previous school district experience.
- Paid time off in the form of cumulative sick days and annual personal days
- Health, dental and vision insurance aftersuccessful completion of a 90 day probationary period
- Monthly Rates: $115 Individual, $190 Family
- OR semi-annual stipend in lieu of health benefits if otherwise insured
- Employer paid $40,000 in life insurance
In order to be eligible for special education support positions, applicants must meetthe following criteria:
- Be a high school graduate or possess a GED,
- AND
- 1) Have completed at least 2 years of postsecondary study,
- OR
- 2) Possess an Associates degree or higher,
- OR
- 3) Complete a series of job-based training during the first year of employment, and continuing education credit hours during subsequent years

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTSIn order to be eligible for employment, the following clearances must be furnished and approved for hire at time of job offer:
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
- Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check (Act 34)
- FBI Federal Criminal History Record (Act 114)
The following additional trainings and forms are required upon hire:
- Act 126 Child/Student Abuse Recognition and Reporting
- Arrest or Conviction Form (PDE 6004) (Act 24)
- School Personnel Health Record (Physical with TB Test)
- Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Information (Act 168)
