Associate Teacher (University Child Development Center)
The Associate Teacher supports the Head Teacher in the planning and the implementation of an early childhood program for a class of children. Associate Teachers are responsible for supporting the Head Teacher in maintaining the classroom, assessing and maintaining care, programming for the classroom, and ensuring the safety of all children. Associate Teachers act as the Head Teacher in that teacher's absence, supervise staff and University students and respond to parent/guardian inquiries and needs.
Associate Teachers are required to maintain 12 hours of professional development annually during their employment and maintain all DHS regulations, NAEYC standards and Keystone STARS requirements throughout their employment.
