Bridge Project Manager – Pennsylvania (fully remote in the state of PA)
A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Bridge Project Manager to join their growing Pennsylvania transportation team
. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects for PennDOT, local municipalities, and county clients across the state, while also collaborating with bridge design experts across the region.
The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, proven project management experience, and a passion for delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions that support Pennsylvania’s communities.
Responsibilities- Lead all aspects of bridge design projects, including team management, client communication, and project financial oversight
- Design, prepare, and review plans, calculations, and specifications in compliance with PennDOT and AASHTO standards
- Manage sub-consultants and multidisciplinary internal teams to deliver complex projects on time and within budget
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project staff
- Prepare proposals, scopes, and budgets; contribute to business development opportunities across the region
- Monitor and enforce compliance with quality control standards, safety, and client requirements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring successful delivery and relationship growth
- Participate in site visits and field inspections as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s in Structures preferred)
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Pennsylvania
- Minimum 8 years of bridge engineering experience
, including at least 2 years as a Project or Task Manager - Strong knowledge of PennDOT standards, specifications, and design manuals
- Experience delivering projects for Local Public Agencies (LPA) and/or federally funded programs
- Proficiency with bridge design and analysis software (e.g.,
LEAP Concrete, MDX, Midas, AASHTOWare
) - Working knowledge of Micro Station or other CAD platforms
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Bridge inspection experience (or interest in inspection services) a plus
