Bridge Engineer-Intern

WRA is currently looking for motivated civil engineering students to join our Transportation - Bridge team in our Pittsburgh, PA Regional office. This is an excellent opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience working alongside our experienced bridge engineering team on a variety of transportation projects.

Responsibilities:

* Assist engineers with the design and analysis of highway and transit-related bridges and structures.

* Support project teams with preparing plans, reports, and calculations.

* Perform fieldwork including bridge inspections and data collection, as needed.

* Conduct research and apply engineering principles to solve real-world design challenges.

* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a professional engineering environment.

Requirements:

* Must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.

* Strong interest in bridge and transportation engineering.

* Basic knowledge of structural analysis and design principles.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); exposure to engineering software (e.g., Micro Station, AutoCAD, or structural analysis programs) is a plus.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
