We pride ourselves on a collaborative work environment, a team dedicated to innovation and safety, and our strong connection to the Appalachian Basin, the region we proudly call home and operate within.

The

Opportunity

We’re looking for an Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technician II to join our Operations team and support the reliability and performance of our production facilities. In this role, you’ll perform intermediate-level maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of instrumentation and control systems.

You’ll work independently on routine and moderately complex tasks while also supporting system upgrades, commissioning activities, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a great opportunity for a hands‑on technician who enjoys solving technical problems and contributing to safe, efficient field operations.

Location

This is a field-based position supporting our Appalachian operations across Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. You will spend the majority of your time working in the field, with occasional travel to our headquarters in Morgantown, WV for meetings and training.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Install, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot field instrumentation, including transmitters, control valves, and flow meters.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on instrumentation and control systems to support reliable production operations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation, electrical, and control system issues with limited supervision.
  • Conduct loop checks, signal verification, and functional testing to ensure system accuracy and performance.
  • Read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and control drawings.
  • Test, calibrate, and configure pressure, temperature, level, and flow measurement instruments.
  • Support commissioning, startup, and modification of instrumentation and control systems.
  • Collaborate with production, measurement, and automation teams to resolve issues and improve system reliability.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, calibration documentation, and service reports.
  • Adhere to all safety, environmental, and operational standards while performing field work.
  • Participate in an on‑call rotation (approximately once per month) and respond to field emergencies or equipment failures as needed.
Your Background:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in Electrical or Instrumentation preferred.
  • Proven experience as an I&C Technician in the energy or related industry.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as NEC, API, and ANSI.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to diagnose complex technical issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must meet all PHMSA and DOT criteria for safety‑sensitive duties.
  • Subject to mandatory verification of DOT drug, alcohol, and safety records for the preceding two‑year period.
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to operate standard office/computer equipment.
  • Must be able to perform physical work – exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments, including harsh weather and rugged terrain.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
