This role will support operations & maintenance by troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, & software systems during repairs. This role will also support engineering by recommending & assisting with improvements to production processes & integrating new technologies into production equipment
Essential Functions- Support maintenance, operations, and quality with repairs and redesigns to meet production goals.
- Assist &lead in troubleshooting & repair of down production equipment.
- Assist in integrating new technologies into equipment and processes.
- Analyze & resolve machine material handling & quality problems and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Root cause analysis.
- Perform continuous improvement activities for quality and throughput.
- Assist &lead in the design, fabrication, installation, start‑up, & commissioning of new production equipment & systems.
- Assist with parts research & inventory.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Read & interpret equipment manuals, schematics, drawings, & work orders in order to perform necessary maintenance tasks and service.
- Maintenance Engineer Technician may be directed to perform & complete other tasks as deemed appropriate by management that may, or may not, be related to maintenance issues.
- Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, electronic Technology, a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Proficient knowledge & understanding of electromechanical systems.
- Knowledge & understanding of computer code; C++, LabVIEW, &/or Python experience a plus.
- Knowledge of wiring standards & ability to work with 24 VDC through 480 VAC 3‑Phase.
- Basic working knowledge of 2D &/or 3D CAD software.
- Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools such as wrenches, drills, saws, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively & work with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to prioritize time and handle multiple projects.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be comfortable being subjected to load noises from manufacturing processes.
- Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, & stand for prolonged periods. Ability to climb steps, ladders, & move effectively around machinery.
- Must be able to work at heights using proper fall protection.
- Must be able to work around machinery requiring hearing protection, hard hat, safety glasses, hard‑toed shoes, and occasional dust mask or respirator.
