Expected salary range of $147,600 to $164,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Primary Purpose of PositionThe primary responsibility of the Principal Project Manager is to manage assigned projects utilizing Constellation Power project management processes and procedures while working in ambiguous situations with little direction. Acting as the single point of contact while providing leadership for project teams in the successful implementation of those policies and procedures, the position is generally used for strategic and large dollar projects that require integration of cross functional organizations including entities outside of Constellation Power.
PrimaryDuties and Accountabilities
- Manage the scope, quality, schedule adherence and budget of assigned large projects and cross-functional teams, at the highest PM level
- Provide direction and leadership to project team members throughout the project, utilizing excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
- Provide leadership and project management support to plant operations, engineering, and maintenance
- Provide management of project contracts as required
- Work closely with station managers to align project planning with station outages and plant operation
- Coach and mentor other project managers and site personnel employing business acumen
- Prepare the necessary documents for project justification and approval
- All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (Department duty coverage and/or call out, and positions outside of department in support of outage activities etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or science with 8 years professional experience OR
- Associate's degree in business, engineering, or science with 10 years professional experience OR
- High school diploma/GED with 12 years professional experience
- Project management experience
- Project Management Institute (PMI) certification
- Strong proficiency with all Microsoft Office Suite programs (Excel a must)
- Experience with project management processes, including estimating, budgeting, and cost control methods
- Maintain minimum access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
- Master's degree in business, engineering or related field
- Supervisory or management experience in project management, plant operations or maintenance
- Experience with Asset Suite 9 contract management system
- Experience with the Constellation Power Enterprise Project Structure (EPS) and financial analysis processes for large capital projects
- General knowledge of power plant environmental issues, air, and water regulations
- Knowledge of Constellation Capital Approval Process
- Experience with diving and working on water
- Knowledge of Hydro-electric power generation
