Engineering Design Manager Overview All Tek is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Design Manager to lead our client's Mechanical Engineering Department. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker capable of overseeing mechanical design efforts, guiding engineering projects from conception to completion, and ensuring timely, feasible, and cost-effective solutions. As a key contributor, you will help drive innovation and efficiency in a dynamic manufacturing environment, shaping the future of our client's engineering initiatives.

Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of manufacturing experience, including product development.
- Strong project management skills; experience with Microsoft Project is a plus.
- Manufacturing engineering experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma concepts.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to incorporate all safety requirements into daily work.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with rapid product development techniques such as QFD, 3P, and cross-functional teams.
- PMP certification or similar project management credentials.
- Prior experience with research and development projects.
Preferred Education and Experience
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 2 to 5 years of product development experience.
- Prior experience leading mechanical design projects in a manufacturing setting.
Other Requirements
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to participate in occasional site visits or meetings in the manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
