Senior Manufacturing Engineer
All Tek is partnering with a local client in Pittsburgh to find a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer. This is an in office only opportunity with no visa sponsorship available. The successful candidate will lead initiatives to improve productivity, reduce costs, and develop innovative manufacturing processes. This strategic role requires technical expertise, project management skills, and a collaborative mindset to drive operational excellence and mentor engineering teams.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience as a design or project engineer in manufacturing. Proven experience in process and equipment design, utilizing solid modeling tools daily. Strong problem-solving abilities, creativity, and technical acumen. Familiarity with automation practices, BOM systems, and mechanical drawing standards. Excellent communication skills, organization, and the capacity to manage multiple projects efficiently.
Knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma concepts is a plus.
Nice to Have
Skills:
Experience with Inventor, Autodesk products, Vault Pro, or other MRP systems. Project management certification such as PMP or experience with Microsoft Project. Electrical experience, VOC understanding, rapid product development techniques, and NPDP certification are advantageous.
Preferred
Education & Experience:
BSME or equivalent degree. 5+ years manufacturing environment experience, particularly in metals or sheet metal. 4+ years solid modeling experience. Proven track record in product development, equipment design, and process improvement projects.
Other Requirements:
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including periodic exposure to plant areas with PPE. Willingness to work scheduled hours onsite. Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English, with the physical capacity to perform tasks including lifting, standing, and working at a computer for extended periods. Occasional travel may be required for project needs.
