Electrical Engineer
Seeking full time Electrical Engineer with 3+ years experience. Able to complete electrical construction plans and specifications for multiple types of buildings and facilities with oversite from Sr. Electrical Engineer. Work includes lighting, power and low voltage systems. Understanding of building codes and NEC is required.
Perform electrical calculations for loads, short circuit and breaker studies to produce high quality deliverables for our clients. Demonstrated success working with team members across all disciplines. The selected candidate will work with the current Electrical Department staff and report directly to Electrical Department Manager. Potential for advancement for the successful candidate.
Qualifications:
- Registered EIT or PE, preferred
- Experience in consulting engineering environment is strongly preferred
- Must have competency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of updated building codes and requirements
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required
- 3+ years of post-graduation experience in the design of electrical systems of buildings preferred
Additional Attributes Preferred:
- Experience in consulting engineering environment is strongly preferred
- Experience with micro grids and prime power generation
- Effective interpersonal and people management ability
- Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) with your collaboration with team members in a multi-disciplined environment
- Interest/experience in the application of green engineering principles; LEED AP certification is a definite asset
