Lead Traffic Engineer - Project Manager (PE License)

Lead transportation impact studies including TIS, TIA, operational analyses, and roadway safety evaluations, ensuring all work meets PennDOT and municipal standards.

Coordinate with agencies such as PennDOT, municipalities, developers, and regulatory bodies to secure approvals, resolve technical issues, and maintain project momentum.

Manage project delivery by overseeing schedules, budgets, staffing assignments, quality control reviews, and overall project execution from kickoff through completion.

Mentor engineering staff by providing technical guidance, reviewing analysis work, supporting professional development, and ensuring consistent application of engineering standards.

Support business development through proposal preparation, client communication, participation in public meetings, and representing the firm at Planning Commission and agency coordination sessions.

Professional Engineer license with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and the ability to stamp traffic engineering deliverables.

Ten or more years of traffic engineering experience including PennDOT procedures, MUTCD requirements, Highway Occupancy Permits, and hands-on use of Synchro, SIDRA, and HCS.

Strong project management capability with experience directing schedules, budgets, staff assignments, and client communication across multiple concurrent projects.

PTOE certification preferred for advanced traffic operations expertise and credibility in public and agency-facing work.

Experience working in multiple states a plus, especially with DOT procedures, permitting processes, and regional traffic analysis standards.
