HVAC Design Engineer
Work collaboratively with our team of project managers, engineers, and designers to create high-quality designs for a variety of clients and projects. This position is specific to the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) field. Successful candidates will have creative problem-solving skills, strong organizational habits, and a commitment to client service. We are seeking candidates eager to apply and advance their skills.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with project teams to develop HVAC designs.
- Ensure designs meet client requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct equipment sizing and selection, including chillers, boilers, AHUs, fans, ductwork, pumps, and pipes.
- Perform cooling and heating load calculations using Trane Trace or Carrier HAPS.
- Write and edit specifications for various projects.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) with 5 to 10 years of experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge of building codes and standards such as IMC and NFPA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with chilled water plants and boilers (hot water and steam).
- Experience with combined heating and cooling plants (CCHP).
- Proficiency in Autodesk, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
