Job Title

TEAM is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Technician to support inspection and mechanical integrity programs through the creation and maintenance of isometric drawings, P&IDs, and piping/vessel/tank component layouts.

About Team: TEAM, Inc. is a global leader in integrated asset integrity solutions, offering high-quality inspection, heat treating, and specialized maintenance services to the refining, petrochemical, power, pipeline, aerospace, and other industrial sectors. We are committed to safety, innovation, and performance excellence—delivering services that ensure asset reliability and minimize downtime.

Position Overview:

This position works closely with inspectors, engineers, and data analysts to provide accurate visual documentation of asset conditions, inspection coverage, and repair locations. There is also potential to support 3D modeling projects where needed, depending on project complexity and client scope.

Why Team:
· Excellent benefits, 401k match, paid vacation and holidays, overtime with full travel and per-diem paid.

· Work with top-tier equipment and support teams in a high-impact environment.

· Opportunities for training along with growth into other inspection or technical services, project management or leadership roles.

· A performance-driven, safety-first culture built on trust, teamwork, and technical excellence.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Create and revise isometric piping drawings used for inspection planning, thickness monitoring, and reporting purposes.

• Translate field sketches and inspection notes into accurate CAD drawings aligned with client and TEAM standards.

• Assist in generating weld maps, TMLs (thickness monitoring locations), and damage mechanism overlays for use by API inspectors and engineers.

• Maintain drawing organization, file naming conventions, and revision control across multiple active projects.

• Support the development of 3D models of piping systems, equipment, and structural components as needed using compatible software platforms.

• Collaborate with site-based personnel and project teams to verify drawing accuracy and integrate field changes.

• Prepare drawing packages for inspections, turnarounds, audits, or engineering analysis.

• Participate in the continuous improvement of drafting procedures, templates, and CAD standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting inspection, mechanical integrity, or QA/QC programs in the field or fabrication environments.

• Familiarity with 3D modeling tools such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks, or Solid Works.

• Knowledge of inspection terminology and documentation requirements (TMLs, CMLs, weld IDs, damage maps).

• Background in working with inspectors, engineers, or NDT personnel.

• Experience working with cloud-based drawing storage or inspection data management systems.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED (technical drafting coursework or certificate preferred).

• 2+ years of experience in CAD drafting, preferably within industrial, inspection, or mechanical design contexts.

• Proficiency with AutoCAD and experience creating isometric drawings from P&IDs or field sketches.

• Strong understanding of piping systems, equipment symbols, and mechanical terminology.

• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, ISO drawings, inspection reports, and field markups.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and file management practices.

• Ability to pass background checks, DISA, TWIC, and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.

Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
· Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.

· Sufficient personal mobility to maneuver in a standard, refinery or plant environment to include the ability to access elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells except when performing non-field duties.
