Process Quality Engineer

Oxford Solutions is working with a client seeking a Process Quality Engineer to support manufacturing process development, quality planning, and production readiness. This direct-hire, onsite role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working hands-on with manufacturing teams and improving both process capability and product quality.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, improve, and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Provide hands-on manufacturing and quality engineering support from product development through high-volume production.
  • Participate in APQP activities and support manufacturing readiness assessments.
  • Develop and maintain control plans and inspection plans.
  • Support PPAP, FAIR, FMEA, and PFMEA activities.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes to identify quality, efficiency, and reliability improvements.
  • Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to resolve production and process issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and corrective action efforts.
  • Assist with dimensional inspection and measurement activities as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering highly preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing, process engineering, or quality engineering experience for candidates with a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with APQP, control plans, PPAP, FAIR, FMEA/PFMEA, or related quality planning processes.
  • Understanding of manufacturing process development and production quality requirements.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification or practical experience preferred.
  • CMM programming or operating experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of GD&T and dimensional inspection methods preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
