Electronics Hardware Specialist
As an Electronics Hardware Specialist, your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Design and develop analog and digital circuits for circuit breaker electronics products.
- Perform design analysis, testing, troubleshooting, and validation.
- Support new product development from concept through production launch.
- Ensure products meet performance, quality, EMI/EMC, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with marketing and cross-functional teams to define product requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contract manufacturers, consultants, and engineering teams.
- Provide technical support for production and field issues.
- Investigate hardware and system-level issues and implement effective solutions.
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Electronics Hardware Specialist who enjoys their work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Electronics Hardware Specialist would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in new product development.
- 2+ years of experience architecting, designing, or developing embedded electronic products.
- Experience with analog and digital circuit design, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with EMI/EMC design practices.
- Experience using Altium Designer or other schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
- Experience with hardware bring-up, debugging, signal characterization, and manufacturing support.
- Experience investigating and resolving electronic hardware or system-level issues.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards such as UL, CSA, IEC, or NEMA.
- Experience with industrial electronics, protection systems, metering, controls, embedded systems, or power electronics is preferred.
