Job Title
As a student of the Supplier Quality Engineering team, you will be an active contributor to our Supplier Development process.
Job DescriptionWhat you'll do (Job Responsibilities)
- Support the Supplier Development team in executing technical qualification audits and assessments for new suppliers.
- Facilitate the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) by coordinating with suppliers to ensure all documentation and technical requirements are met.
- Assist in the execution of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) milestones for new product introductions.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and quality plans to ensure alignment with GE Vernova engineering standards.
- Track and manage qualification project timelines to ensure components are ready for production on schedule.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve technical gaps identified during the qualification phase.
- Support the creation and maintenance of technical qualification records and databases.
- Participate in on-site supplier visits or virtual technical reviews to monitor process readiness.
What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Industrial, or Systems Engineering).
- Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes and technical drawing interpretation (GD&T).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) for documentation and data tracking.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interface with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be able to work on-site at the facility full-time to support shop floor operations; this role does not involve travel.
- Must be willing and able to work in a manufacturing shop floor environment, including exposure to noise and industrial equipment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
