Mechanical Engineer - HVAC

Oxford Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support HVAC and building systems projects for an engineering consulting client. This is a direct-hire, onsite opportunity for an experienced engineer with a strong background in mechanical building design. The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of experience designing HVAC systems for commercial, institutional, or similar facilities. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred;

candidates with an EIT and relevant experience will also be considered. Responsibilities Design and develop HVAC and mechanical building systems Perform heating and cooling load calculations using Trane TRACE, Carrier HAP, or similar software Size and select mechanical equipment including chillers, boilers, air handling units, fans, pumps, piping, and ductwork Prepare mechanical calculations, specifications, drawings, and design documentation Coordinate designs with other engineering disciplines and project teams Support projects from design development through construction Apply applicable mechanical and life-safety codes and standards Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering 5–10 years of mechanical/HVAC engineering experience PE license highly preferred;

EIT candidates will be considered Strong knowledge of HVAC system design and equipment selection
