Structural Engineer Responsibilities
- Develop structural Revit models and construction drawing packages with minimal supervision
- Design and coordinate structural systems including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood framing
- Prepare foundation plans, framing plans, sections, details, and construction documents
- Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to identify coordination and constructability issues
- Participate in BIM coordination, clash detection, and multidisciplinary design reviews
- Support project teams through design revisions, permit comments, RFIs, and as-built documentation
- Maintain drawing quality and compliance with company BIM and drafting standards
- Perform quality control reviews on project deliverables prior to final engineering review
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients throughout the project lifecycle
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis (Master's Degree preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain
- Minimum of 5+ years of structural engineering experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional projects
- Strong proficiency with Revit Structure;
AutoCAD experience is a plus - Experience designing steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structural systems
- Knowledge of applicable building codes and structural design standards
- Familiarity with BIM coordination software such as Navisworks, BIM 360/ACC, or Bluebeam is preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
