Lead Piping Designer

We are seeking an experienced Lead Piping Designer to oversee and mentor junior piping designers while leading piping design efforts on complex chemical and process plant projects. This individual will be responsible for developing high quality 3D piping models, ensuring design accuracy, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and driving project execution from concept through construction support.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise piping design activities for chemical and industrial facility projects.
• Mentor, review, and provide technical guidance to junior piping designers.
• Develop and maintain 3D piping models, layouts, and construction deliverables.
• Coordinate with engineering, process, mechanical, structural, and electrical disciplines.
• Ensure designs comply with client standards, industry codes, and project requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, model reviews, and constructability assessments.
• Candidates need to be fully capable of performing design work independently.

Required:

• 15 plus years piping design experience for chemical facilities.
• Proven experience leading piping design teams and mentoring junior designers
• Cadworx or E3D Proficiency
• Strong knowledge of piping layout, equipment modeling, pipe supports, and industry codes and standards.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
