We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join a specialist industrial gas team, with a primary focus on the design, development and operational support of VSA Oxygen Plants
.
This is a hands‑on technical role suited to a degree-qualified Chemical Engineer with strong process design experience and a background in industrial gases, air separation or oxygen generation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop process engineering designs, specifications and commercial proposals for VSA Oxygen Plants.
- Perform process simulations, calculations and equipment sizing
. - Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Heat & Material Balances (H&MBs).
- Provide process data and specifications for compressors, adsorption systems, valves, pumps, heat exchangers, tanks, analyzers and other process equipment.
- Participate in P&t, HAZOPs, risk assessments, commissioning and plant start-up
. - Provide technical support for ASU/VSA troubleshooting and investigations
. - Review vendor proposals, drawings and datasheets to ensure compliance with project requirements and design standards.
- Support the development of process performance test specifications for air separation plants.
- Interface with customers, suppliers and internal engineering teams.
- Contribute to engineering standards, best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support projects through to successful completion, ensuring delivery to schedule and budget.
You will be a degree-qualified Chemical Engineer with experience in:
- Industrial gases / air separation technology
- Process simulations and engineering calculations
- PFDs, P&IDs and Heat & Material Balances
- Process equipment, line sizing and material selection
- Utility requirement calculations
- Technical evaluation of vendor equipment and proposals
- Plant commissioning, start‑up and troubleshooting
Experience with
ASUs, adsorption systems, oxygen generation or related industrial gas technologies would be highly relevant.
The role may involve up to 20% travel
