Job Overview – Staff Accountant (Hybrid)
Compensation: $80,000 – $90,000/year + bonus
Location:
Delaware County, PA
Schedule:
Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Staff Accountant (Hybrid) in Delaware County, PA for our client. In this hybrid role, you will support accounting, financial reporting, and FP&A activities across multiple entities, with exposure to captive insurance structures. You will partner with sales and business stakeholders to model revenue, support budgeting and forecasting, and enhance reporting processes using Excel and Quick Books.
This position offers a strong blend of accounting ownership, analytical work, and process improvement in a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment.
- Financial Reporting & Close: Perform month‑end close activities, prepare financial statements, and deliver variance and trend analysis.
- General Ledger & Cash Management: Maintain day‑to‑day GL functions including journal entries, reconciliations, and cash receipts and disbursements.
- FP&A & Business Partnering: Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting while collaborating with internal stakeholders and sales teams.
- Audit & Tax Support: Assist external CPAs with audited financial statements, tax filings, and regulatory audit support.
- Systems & Improvement: Enhance reporting processes, translate financial data into insights, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA preferred).
- Experience: 2+ years of public accounting experience required, with exposure to federal income tax, financial statement preparation, and analytical support.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP and federal income tax accounting, with experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, and captive insurance exposure preferred.
- Technical
Skills:
Advanced Excel skills including financial modeling and large data sets, with data visualization, VBA, and Quick Books experience preferred. - Skills & Attributes: Highly analytical, detail‑oriented professional with strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple deadlines, work independently with limited supervision, and collaborate effectively across teams.
