We're actively seeking a driven, detail‑oriented accounting professional with senior‑level experience in the higher‑education industry and a strong working knowledge of Workday. What You'll Do

+ Lead and support month‑end and year‑end close with accuracy and timeliness

+ Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting

+ Utilize Workday to manage financial workflows, generate reports, and strengthen data integrity

+ Support budgeting, forecasting, grants, and fund accounting activities

+ Partner closely with department leaders to provide financial insights and guide decision‑making

+ Drive process improvements, documentation, and control enhancements within the accounting function

Requirements

What We're Looking For

+ 3+ years of higher‑education industry accounting experience (required)

+ Background as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or Senior Accountant looking to advance

+ Workday Financials experience-reporting, navigation, financial modules, or configuration exposure

+ Strong technical accounting knowledge (GAAP, fund accounting, grants, restricted/unrestricted funds)

+ Proven ability to manage month‑end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, audits, and process enhancements

+ Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner with academic and administrative teams
