KPMG is currently seeking an Associate to join our Business Tax Services practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Focus on fiduciary, charitable and information reporting returns
  • Use tax preparation software - Thomson Reuters One Source Trust Tax platform;
    Utilize technologies and tools for client service delivery
  • Work with senior associates and managers as part of a multi-disciplinary team on a variety of assigned projects
  • Analyze, prepare and review tax work papers and returns, estimated payments and extensions
  • Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other taxing authorities
  • Keep up to date on tax technical developments
Qualifications:
  • Minimum one year of recent public accounting and/or tax experience
  • Bachelor?s and/or Master?s degree from an accredited college or university in business, accounting, finance, taxation, mathematics, economics, information technology, data and analytics, engineering (financial, industrial or systems) or related fields;
    Accounting and Taxation is preferred
  • Must have or be pursuing the state-specific education requirements to be a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) in the principal place of business; have a short-term plan for completion of such educational requirements following the start date for this position is required, with completion of such educational requirements prior to the start date for this position is preferred
  • Demonstrated quality service mindset; strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; be resourceful in delivering high quality work; be a team player with the ability to independently manage assigned account load
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
