As an Accounting Associate within PNC's Finance organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA and play a key role on the SEC Reporting team, supporting top-of-house financial reporting.
This is a highly visible position with broad exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional teams, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to critical reporting processes that impact the organization at the highest level.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting or finance background, who thrives in a detail-oriented environment and has experience with financial reporting and analysis.

This position operates in an in-office environment, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
In this role, responsibilities include:
- Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated external financial statements (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.) in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements
- Partner closely with internal business stakeholders to support accurate and timely reporting
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly earnings release materials
- Perform tie-outs to ensure accuracy and consistency across earnings press releases and regulatory filings
- Support the review of XBRL tagging for 10-K and 10-Q filings
- Conduct disclosure-related research on U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements
- Assist with the completion of Census Bureau surveys and other regulatory reporting
- Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives
- Complete ad hoc analyses and requests as needed

* + Supports the organization's accounting activities, including financial record keeping and reporting.
+ Prepares, analyzes, and maintains records of organization's financial activity in accordance with GAAP, organizational standards, and in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
+ Creates and evaluates reports on financial performance for internal and external use. Interacts with all levels of an organization in determining content and summarizing data for management.
+ Completes month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities including the preparation and review of journal entries and appropriate audit work papers, and the reconciliation of accounts for such activities. These activities may relate to bank accounting, loans and investments, deposits, and tax, including preparing the appropriate audit work papers for such activities.
+ Supports and assists junior accounting staff in the development of their professional skills.
