Manager of Construction Loan Servicing

Ideal Candidate Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Mortgage Banking, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Must have 7+ years of experience in Construction Loan Servicing, Mortgage Servicing, Construction Lending, Loan Administration, or Mortgage Operations. Must have strong experience managing the entire construction loan lifecycle, including builder approval, draw administration, inspections, loan balancing, and construction-to-permanent loan conversions.

Must have experience managing construction draw schedules, inspection processes, loan disbursements, and construction servicing operations. Must have experience working with Construction Loans, Renovation Loans, Portfolio Loans, or Held-for-Sale Mortgage Loans. Must possess strong knowledge of construction lending regulations, mortgage servicing operations, SOX controls, audits, compliance, GL reconciliations, and risk management. Must have experience leading process improvements, developing policies and procedures, KPI/KRI reporting, and operational efficiencies.

Strong leadership, communication, analytical, organizational, and project management skills are required. Mortgage banking or financial services experience is highly preferred.

The Manager of Construction Loan Servicing will oversee all operational activities related to construction and renovation loan servicing, from builder approval through final loan conversion. This position is responsible for managing construction draw administration, inspections, servicing operations, audit compliance, risk management, policy development, staff training, and operational performance while ensuring regulatory compliance and exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will collaborate with Mortgage Servicing, Construction Lending, Secondary Marketing, Sales, Compliance, and Executive Leadership to improve operational efficiency and minimize risk throughout the construction loan servicing process.

Key Responsibilities Manage the complete construction loan servicing lifecycle from builder approval through loan conversion. Oversee construction draw schedules, inspections, disbursements, and loan balancing. Manage construction platform vendors and servicing operations. Ensure construction projects are completed within required timelines. Monitor construction loan portfolios and held-for-sale pipelines. Review aged loans and ensure loan salability. Ensure compliance with construction lending regulations and servicing policies.

Manage SOX controls, audits, compliance reviews, and risk mitigation. Oversee general ledger reconciliations, DDA accounts, and year-end tax reporting. Develop and update policies, procedures, and operational standards. Drive process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies. Establish KPI/KRI reporting and performance metrics. Train, coach, mentor, and develop construction servicing staff. Collaborate with Sales, Secondary Marketing, Compliance, and Executive Leadership. Ensure proper staffing, onboarding, performance management, and employee development.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Minimum 7 years of Construction Loan Servicing or Mortgage Servicing experience.

Preferred Qualifications Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration or willingness to obtain. Experience with renovation lending. Portfolio and held-for-sale mortgage servicing. Construction loan servicing platforms. Banking or Financial Services industry experience. Process improvement and operational excellence initiatives. Staff leadership, coaching, and mentoring experience.
