Commercial Relationship Manager
Primary responsibility of this position is to develop and expand profitable commercial relationships by identifying financial needs and recommending appropriate solutions. Key areas of focus include loans, business services, deposits, related retail, and trust services. Responsibility includes the ability to assess financial performance in a variety of industries, understand and interpret the underwriting process, credit policy and procedures, structure credit relationships and maintain strong customer service standards.
Essential functions include achieving established goals in loan, deposit, and fee production through the development of new and expansion of existing relationships, implementing a comprehensive business development calling program, expanding business customer's retail and trust relationships, understanding and complying with the objectives of the internal sales management system, applying necessary credit and financial analysis skills, developing and effectively delivering credit presentations, assuring that the loan portfolio is properly rated and managed, maintaining sufficient Bank and Trust Company product knowledge, delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining effective, professional and responsive communication, and representing the Bank within the community in a professional manner.
This position requires no supervision of employees. Physical demands include frequently typing or working with fingers, talking to express or exchange ideas, hearing to perceive the nature of sounds, and specific vision abilities required by this job. Sedentary work may require occasionally lifting of up to 10 pounds and/or move up to 25 pounds. This work involves sitting most of the time with walking and sitting.
Moderate travel (could include overnight stays) is required.
Competencies include communication negotiation proficiency, computer skills, leadership skills, customer/client focus, deadline oriented, analytical skills, and ethical conduct.
Required/Preferred
Education and Experience:
A bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or economics (with a heavy concentration of accounting) or equivalent education and experience is needed along with a minimum of ten (10) years banking experience with at least seven (7) years of intense commercial and mortgage lending experience.
