* At PNC, our people are our greatest differentiator and competitive advantage in the markets we serve. We are all united in delivering the best experience for our customers. We work together each day to foster an inclusive workplace culture where all of our employees feel respected, valued and have an opportunity to contribute to the company's success. As a Capital Markets Associate - Derivatives Products Group within PNC's Capital Markets organization, you can be based in Pittsburgh, PA, New York, NY, Cleveland, OH, or Philadelphia, PA.
This role supports the marketing and execution of interest rate hedging solutions for PNC's corporate and institutional client base. Working alongside senior marketers, the Associate serves as day-to-day support and back up across the desk-managing client onboarding, idea generation, pitch book creation, indicative pricing, trade booking, market updates, and post-trade follow-ups, while coordinating with credit, legal, settlements and other internal service partners.
DPG marketers partner closely with the trading desk and with C&IB coverage partners-Corporate Banking, Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, Foreign Exchange, and Treasury Management-to cohesively market the bank and are expected to collaborate seamlessly across the platform. The successful candidate will be focused on building strong client relationships while helping foster a strong risk-mitigating and compliance-driven culture. This is a high-visibility seat with a clear path to a client-facing marketing role.
In this role, you will:
Generate trade ideas, prepare marketing materials, write market commentaries, conduct swap portfolio analytics and peer analyses, provide indicative pricing tailored to each client's risk management needs, and support business development initiatives.
Manage the client onboarding process and take initiative across credit lines, ISDA documentation, and trade confirmations, coordinating required internal approvals
Partner closely with counterparts in Trading, as well as Corporate Banking, Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, and Foreign Exchange
Experiences:
Derivatives, Fixed Income, Securities Sales, or Capital Markets experience
Direct experience marketing and/or executing Interest Rate Derivative products-including swaps, swaptions, caps, floors, cross-currency swaps, and Treasury locks-for corporate clients
Solid understanding of the complexities of the derivatives markets and the pricing of fixed income derivative products
Familiarity with ISDA documentation and terms
Familiarity with credit risk concepts, including CVA, DVA, and FVA
Strong interest in global macro markets and market developments
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex financial concepts into simple terms and actionable steps
Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, exhibiting initiative, ownership, and flexibility, and to perform effectively under pressure
Demonstrated commitment to collaboration and achieving team goals
PNC is an in-office company that fosters a supportive culture where employees can thrive and achieve balance. We encourage candidates to connect with their recruiter and hiring manager to understand workplace expectations and ensure the role aligns with their goals.
PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position.
