Police Officer
Responsibilities include ensuring public safety in a multi-cultural environment in the third largest police department in Allegheny County. Police Officer duties include vehicular and foot patrol of university property, enforcement of criminal and traffic laws; protection of persons and property; investigation of crimes; completion of police reports; testimony in court; and assistance to other law enforcement agencies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or other related field from an accredited college or University and must have obtained Pennsylvania Act 120 certification prior to appointment; possess a valid PA driver's license; as well as a safe driving record.
