DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis position focuses on supporting statewide efforts to eliminate tuberculosis by guiding contract oversight and improving surveillance accuracy. You will work with local health departments, review data, and ensure programs align with state and national objectives. As a Public Health Program Associate 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Grant Oversight:
Provide guidance to local health departments to support compliance with program and grant requirements - Funding Evaluation:
Recommend funding allocations by reviewing program needs and procurement standards - Budget Support:
Maintain budget workb ooks to ensure proper use of designated funds - Expense Review:
Approve documentation for invoiced expenses to confirm accuracy and release funds - Contract Monitoring:
Apply evaluation criteria to assess contract performance and identify improvements - Surveillance Tracking:
Monitor data for latent tuberculosis infection to ensure completeness, timeliness, and accuracy

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework:
You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

- One year as a Public Health Program Associate 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- A bachelor's degree and one year of professional experience in the development, analysis, or monitoring of programs, grants, or contracts in health, human services, social or behavioral services, health care services, or health insurance; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
