Duties As an EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0089-09, you will assist in the development and coordination of plans and procedures for implementation and execution of the Emergency Management Plan (IEMP 10-2). Assist in conducting initial/recurring training for functional areas of EM. Maintain Emergency Management response equipment, training resources, and supply inventories. Collaborate with on and off-base units and agencies, on EM programs, policies, and procedures.
Serve as a CBRN Response team member. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of employment

Must have successfully completed technical military training school basic EM Apprentice course and the CBRN Responders Course. AFSC 3E9X1 Emergency Management Specialist. Administers MAJCOM and Installation Emergency Management Programs GENERAL EXPERIENCE :
- All series personnel must be certified at the next higher level before being eligible for that level and must have a minimum of one year on-the-job experience in the grade immediately below the next higher level. An applicant must have a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE :
Application must indicate at least 24 months experience in preparing and briefing emergency management plans? Experience in writing, designing, formatting, publishing, and presenting specific EM program assigned work to peers and immediate supervisors at workshops or special committee meetings. Knowledge in the Emergency Management (EM), Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear (CBRN), and Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) emergency response, logistics, and training programs.
