We are recruiting for a mission-driven non-profit organization seeking an Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist with a focus on Medicaid billing. This role is responsible for accurate billing, timely reimbursement, and compliance with Medicaid regulations, while supporting programs that make a meaningful impact in the community.

OVERVIEW OF THE AR SPECIALIST ROLE:

• Prepare, submit, and track Medicaid claims in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Ensure accurate and timely billing for services provided
• Research, resolve, and appeal denied or underpaid Medicaid claims
• Post payments and adjustments; maintain accurate AR records
• Reconcile accounts receivable balances and assist with month-end close
• Maintain documentation to support audits and compliance requirements
• Partner with internal teams to resolve billing, eligibility, and authorization issues
• Stay current on Medicaid billing rules and regulatory updates

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE AR SPECIALIST:

• 3-5+ years of accounts receivable or billing experience;
  Medicaid billing experience strongly preferred
• Experience in a non-profit, healthcare, or human services environment is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with billing or accounting systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
