Purpose
The Onboarding Specialist creates a welcoming, consistent, and high-quality onboarding experience for all new associates. This role designs, maintains, and facilitates Day 1 and Day 2 orientation experiences, providing guidance to hiring managers, and ensuring all onboarding content and processes reflect best practices as set forth by PANTHERx. In addition, this role supports the L&D team by managing core LMS administration tasks as it pertains to new hire learning.
Responsibilities
New Employee Onboarding (50%)
- Facilitates engaging and informative new hire orientation sessions for new hires.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for new hires during their initial onboarding experience.
- Partners with HR, TA and department leaders to ensure a seamless transition for new hires.
- Maintains and continuously improves onboarding materials, presentations, resources, and documentation.
- Develops and distributes communications to managers that outline onboarding and set expectations, timelines and best practices.
- Supports Managers who are onboarding new associates through follow-up, creation of manager specific content and guidance during the first 30/60/90 days.
- Monitors and measures the effectiveness of onboarding programs; recommend enhancements based on feedback and data.
- Ensures onboarding processes are consistent, inclusive, and aligned with company culture and values.
- Preps the physical space ahead of new hire orientation (Printed materials + SWAG).
- Assists with uploading, organizing, and maintaining learning content within the LMS.
- Provides user support and guidance to associates and managers regarding LMS navigation and training completion for new hire assignments.
- Works closely with the L&D team to support broader learning initiatives and projects.
- Facilitates of other specific training as needed.
- Remains current on onboarding and new-hire experience trends, bringing forward innovative ideas to enhance the employee experience.
- Builds strong relationships with internal stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment and coordination.
- Monitors Onboarding effectiveness through feedback, participation, and impact metrics; provide data-informed recommendations for improvement.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in corporate L&D, facilitation, instructional design, or a related role.
- Minimum of two (2) years of proven experience facilitating engaging, inclusive, and outcome-driven learning sessions in both virtual and in-person environments.
- Strong experience in facilitating both live and virtual training sessions, including new hire orientation.
- Has strong interpersonal, communication, public speaking and facilitation skills.
- Comfortable managing tasks in an LMS platform.
- Strong project management skills with ability to juggle multiple programs and deadlines.
- Skilled at stakeholder communication, needs assessment, and working across functions.
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field.
This position operates in a home or professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and fax machines.
