Our client is a fast-growing organization that provides payroll services to over 300 clients across a variety of industries nationwide. They are committed to accuracy, compliance, and delivering top-tier customer service. They are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to help ensure seamless and compliant payroll processing for their diverse client base.
Overview of the Payroll Specialist Role:
• Process payroll for multiple clients across various industries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• The Payroll Specialist will maintain payroll records, manage deductions, and ensure timely tax filings.
• Respond to payroll inquiries from clients and employees, resolving discrepancies in a professional and timely manner.
• The Payroll Specialist will stay up to date with changes in payroll laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with HR, accounting, and finance teams to streamline payroll processes.
• The Payroll Specialist will assist with year-end payroll reporting, including W-2s and 1099s.
Preferred Qualifications of the Payroll Specialist Role:
• 3+ years of payroll processing experience; multi-client or multi-state experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of wage and hour laws, payroll tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• High attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
