Job Summary:

Responsible for translating business requirements for Operational Solutions into the SAP system via the SAP Configuration IMG (SAP Implementation Guide). This includes all aspects of project work, ongoing functional enhancements, troubleshooting, and SAP-provided system and/or legal changes. Collaborates across the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a focus on analysis, design, and development of configuration-based solutions. continuously develops technical and analytical skills to enhance value-added business solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Support the request and analysis phases of SDLC by assisting with documentation and estimates.
  • Execute the design, development, testing, and implementation phases of SDLC by producing prescribed deliverables.
  • Review deliverables produced by junior staff.
  • Collaborate with business unit analysts and IT resources to develop new systems and enhance existing systems to meet changing business requirements.
  • Perform configuration to support defined business processes and functions; complete timely testing and validation of changes.
  • Develop strong business and system knowledge related to assigned functional areas; maintain data and process models; contribute to technology strategy input.
  • Troubleshoot incidents reported against IT applications; investigate root causes and support daily batch processing and job failures.
  • Provide 24x7 primary and/or secondary support to core applications considered business critical.
  • Generate documentation throughout project phases (e.g., charters, specifications, test plans) and document configuration processes with flow charts and step-by-step instructions.
  • Coordinate end-user training on SAP systems and ensure adherence to change management procedures.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure ongoing product support.
  • Stay informed of current trends in technology and business to influence technology strategies for the business unit.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • At least four years of SAP configuration experience performing system analysis, design, development, and production support; two or more years in SAP FSM.
  • Experience in SAP S/4

    HANA and/or SAP WM is desirable.
  • ITIL Foundation certification (at hire or within 12 months in position).
  • Preferred: SAP professional certification in one of the listed disciplines.
  • 2+ years supporting a system with an RDBMS; experience developing technical specifications from business requirements.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; ability to present information to teams and stakeholders.
