Job Description
The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. seeks a Business Analytics Lead in Pittsburgh, PA. Specific duties include: (1) lead analytics across retail lending to deliver data-driven solutions; (2) consult with stakeholders and mentor team members on tools, strategies, and best practices; (3) define analytics, oversee development and enhancements; (4) optimize analytical solutions to support executive decision-making; (5) interpret complex results and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders;
(6) source, analyze, and visualize data for clear, impactful reporting; (7) partner with business leaders to implement KPIs and KDEs; (8) ensure a single source of truth across the organization; (9) manage end-to-end deliverable life cycles within agile teams; and (10) provide technical, analytical, and problem-solving expertise throughout projects.
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or CIS, plus 5 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining data, reporting, and analytical systems and building advanced end to end decisioning control framework in or for the financial services industry. Must have experience with: (1) developing, maintaining, and optimizing Elastic and Tableau dashboards, including management of Elastic clusters and Tableau Server user groups;
(2) developing complex SQL (including stored procedures, functions, materialized views, common table expressions, analytical functions, performance tuning, and partitioning) and ETL processes (aggregations, complicated joins, rank, union, lookup, and custom user defined functions) with advanced features and functionality of multiple data sources (Oracle, SQL, Teradata, MS SQL Server and Hadoop); (3) automating (incremental processing, dependency and schedule management, and error checking) and maintaining complex data transformation pipelines (Kafka topic, Java streaming, Elastic, Tableau Prep, Python and SAS);
and (4) experience, in or for the financial services industry, performing the following: (a) utilizing Retail Lending systems, application and loan decisioning and servicing data models (FICO DM, Empower, OLNACS, EDS, MSP, ACLS, or FDR), and support of analytics and reporting; (b) interviewing business users; (c) identifying functional and technical requirements; and (d) converting use cases into technical designs (LLD and User Case Diagrams) and solutions (prototypes and mock-ups) as part of an agile software development process (Jira and Confluence).
