Data Architect
Must Have Technical/Functional
Skills:
* 12-15 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or related roles.
* Strong expertise in data modeling techniques (conceptual, logical, physical).
* Proven experience creating logical data flow diagrams and data lineage documentation.
* Hands-on proficiency with SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Postgre
SQL, MySQL).
* Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, normalization, and denormalization.
* Experience working closely with business, analytics, and engineering teams.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Roles & Responsibilities
* Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business and analytical needs.
* Develop logical data flow diagrams representing data movement across source systems, integrations, and consumption layers.
* Partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, and application teams to translate requirements into scalable data architectures.
* Define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and modeling best practices.
* Perform hands-on work with SQL and database platforms to validate models, optimize queries, and ensure data accuracy.
* Review and optimize existing data models for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
* Support data integration, ETL/ELT, and reporting initiatives with clear architectural guidance.
* Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across systems.
* Provide architectural input for cloud, on prem, or hybrid data platforms.
* Mentor junior architects and data modelers as needed
Salary Range - $120,000-$130,000 a year
